Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Garden Art respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website, project enquiry forms, quotations and landscaping services. We comply with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.
2. Information we collect
We may collect your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, project address or suburb, project scope, design preferences, estimated budget, target completion date, correspondence and photographs or inspiration images you upload. Our website providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses and browser data.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess sites and project requirements, prepare quotations and designs, arrange consultations, manage projects, communicate with you, coordinate contractors and suppliers, protect our website, and meet legal and recordkeeping requirements. We do not use enquiry contact details for unrelated marketing without appropriate consent or another lawful basis.
4. Photos and attachments
Photos you submit help us understand and quote your landscaping project. We do not publish your submitted photos in marketing or social media without appropriate permission. Relevant images may be shared with designers, contractors or suppliers where necessary for your project. Please avoid uploading images containing identifiable people, personal documents or other unnecessary private information.
5. Netlify and overseas processing
Our website is hosted using Netlify and may use Netlify Forms. Form submissions and uploaded files may be stored and processed by Netlify and its service providers, including outside Australia. Authorised Garden Art personnel can access submissions for enquiry handling. We take reasonable steps to manage access and protect submitted information.
6. Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information reasonably necessary for your project with contractors, suppliers, delivery providers, website and technology providers, professional advisers and authorities where required or authorised by law.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable measures to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for enquiries, project management, legal compliance and business records, then delete or de-identify it where practicable and lawful.
8. Access, correction and deletion
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. We assess requests under applicable law and any necessary recordkeeping obligations.
